MAIN PROJECTS:

Interaction between introduced herbivores (Capra hircus, Sus scrofa) with the native vegetation of Mona Island Reserve. Also called the "THE MONA ISLAND PROJECT". Collaborative project between the Canter for Applied Tropical Ecology and Conservation at UPR-Rio Piedras, UPR-Humacao and the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources and the Environment. PIs Elvia Melendez-Ackerman, Denny Fernandez and Miguel Garcia. Work currently done at Mona Island, Puerto Rico.

Pollination biology and evolution of lforal and vegeatation characters in the Pitcarnia angustifolia (Bromeliaceae). In collaboration with Hana Lopez, Jason Rausher, Paola Olaya, Caral Cortés, José Fumero, Adrianne Tossas, Esther Toledo, Eric Hernandez, Eric Bermudez, Isa Rodríguez. Work done in various forest in Reserves in Puerto Rico.
